Hi, I'm Sophie, Sophie Beetle!
I'm a 1979 VW SuperBeetle convertible. 1979 was the last year they produced the Beetles for the U.S. (until 1998, that is). They produced 20,087 Beetles that year, and they were all convertibles!

In the background (top) is Perry, a 1975 Superbeetle, not much to look at, but he ran great! He was sold to make room for the New Beetle. :(

 
Sophie with seats and carpet out. Lots of surface rust, but very little actual holes. Repairable? Possibly. I think I'd rather go ahead and have the pans replaced...just gotta find someone to do it!
